🌉The Romanesque bridge of Puente la Reina is one of the most interesting examples of civil architecture on the Way of Saint James in Navarre. It was built in the 11th century by an anonymous queen of Navarre, believed to have been Muniadona de Castilla, wife of Sancho el Mayor or Estefanía, wife of King García el de Nájera. The bridge has seven half-point arches and five pillars and is one of the most beautiful monuments on the route.
