The Soajo granaries are a group of 24 stone constructions that stand on a large granite rock in the village of Soajo, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. These granaries were used to store and dry corn, one of the main foods of the local population. The granaries have small openings to ventilate the cobs and stone wheels to prevent rodents from entering. At the top, they bear a cross symbolizing faith and the request for divine protection for the harvest.
