Castelo Rodrigo é uma das 12 Aldeias Históricas de Portugal, situada no distrito da Guarda. A aldeia conserva ainda hoje o seu traçado medieval, com ruas estreitas com calçada de pedra e as suas casas de cor ocre. Na foto, a rua da cadeia é uma das mais antigas e típicas da aldeia, onde se encontra a intrigante casa da cisterna, um edifício do século XIII que servia de abastecimento de água à população, mas que se pensa ter sido uma antiga sinagoga. The village still retains today its medieval layout, with narrow streets with stone sidewalk and its ochre colored houses.
