Roman bridge

PONTE DE LIMA (Portugal): Roman bridge.

It is thought that the Roman part of the bridge was built on the 1st century a.C., and the Medieval one, with Gothic features, would have been concluded in 1370.
The Roman part is constituted by seven irregular arches and the Gothic by seventeen pointed arches, with about 4 meters width and 300 meters long. Originally, the construction would have two towers, demolished in the 19th century.
